We are finally breaking free of the polar vortex. Hurrah! My mind is on Valentine’s Day and spring. I’ve always loved the Valentine’s Day palette even if the holiday itself can be perilous.
These are the other things that have brightened my week:
Reading. Plum Sykes’s Party Girls Die in Pearls. This is a light murder mystery set at Oxford in the 1980s. I wore a lot of puffy ballgowns in University in the late 1980s, so this one brought me back.
Doing. Classical Stretch (thanks to Dani BP and a local friend.) It’s gentle exercise that promises a ballet body. What’s not to love?
Beautifying. I decided to hunt for a fabulous clean beauty eyebrow gel. The EcoBrow Eyebrow Defining Wax is a clean dupe of Anastasia’s Dipbrow. I bought the Sharon colour, which is a great cool-toned, medium brown, and I love it. I’ve also fallen in love with Kosas’s Weightless Lip Color in Rosewater. I will buy anything that promises an english rose look and this one is a great neutral nude pink that is perfect for everyday. The scent is lovely and it’s moisturizing without being shiny or gloppy. Winner winner.
Wearing. I bought a couple of light pink items at the J. Crew sale. My favourite is this Point Sur Peasant top from J. Crew. This one is now sold out, but they have something similar this season in white.
Discussing. The emotional and physical roots of chronic pain.
Watching. Yummy Mummies on Netflix. So bad, it’s fabulous.
Have a great week!
